Kayden X Coleman
I started transitioning socially in 2009, medically (started hormone replacement therapy) in 2010. On March 28, 2013, I underwent a double mastectomy aka Top Surgery. It was at that point when my life began to change.
In September of 2013, I found out I was pregnant - 5 1/2 months pregnant - with my oldest daughter, Azaelia. I gave birth on January 9, 2014. About a year later, my birth story went viral after an article debuted in The Daily Mail, a UK based news outlet. I went on to appear on numerous news outlets such as Insider Edition, as well as the tv show The Doctors. I have also spoken at different Universities and conferences.
Since going viral, my goal has been to advocate for the trans community with a focus on Trans Masculine individuals who have carried or would like to carry their own children.
In January of 2020, I found out I was pregnant with my second daughter, June. This time I found out at 7 weeks pregnant. I chose to openly document my pregnancy and on July 21, 2020 I gave birth to her - a month early. Two days following my release from the hospital, I was attacked by a political candidate named Angela Stanton whose aim was to use my face, and the face of my family as a tool of hatred towards to trans* community. It was in that moment that I decided that it was my calling to educate the world on not only my journey, but the experiences that have been mirror to my by many of the Trans Masculine individuals I have spoken to over the years.
I now offer webinars, workshops, 1 on 1 consultations, sensitivity trainings, etc. My goal is to bring awareness and inclusivity to the medical/birthing world as it pertains to transgender individuals. Please feel free to contact me for more information or book your appointment online today!
